Dr Dejan Stojanović je rođen u Zrenjaninu, gde je završio osnovnu školu i gimnaziju. Godine 2014. doktorira na matičnom Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Novom Sadu iz oblasti Zaštite životne sredine i šumarstva i stiče zvanje Doktor ekoloških nauka. Od 2012. je zaposlen na Institutu za nizijsko šumarstvo i životnu sredinu, Univerziteta u Novom Sadu, gde je viši-naučni saradnik i pomoćnik direktora za razvoj. Objavio je više od 30 naučnih radova pri čemu 16 radova kao vodeći autor najvećim delom vezanih za uticaj klime i klimatskih promena na šume. Imao je veći broj usmenihizlaganja i postera na međunarodnim i domaćim kongresima. Rukovodilac je i učesnik više stranih i domaćih projekata. Na usavršavanjima je boravio u Cirihu, Beču, Potsdamu, Monpeljeu, Bordou, Trentu, Ljubljani i Šopronu. Na kraćim boravcima (konferencije, trening škole, projektni sastanci, pripreme projekata) boravio je u većini evropskih zemalja uključujući Tursku i Kinu. Član je uređivačkog odbora Acta Agraria et Silvestria ser. Silvestris. Poznaje engleski na višem i nemački na osnovnom nivou.
